Project description

From 02.1989 up to 03.1993, CEO of TCM Sarl was commissioned to support the project management for the Construction of the Yaounde-Nsimalen International Airport in Cameroon.

Project :

The Yaounde-Nsimalen International Airport was a turnkey Project , Airport Category CAT I, Aircraft of Reference B747 with a traffic Estimation of 1.500.000 Passengers per year. The scope of work comprised 9.4 million m³ earthworks, a runway of 3.400 m X 60 m, taxiways, apron of 120.000 m² , road network of 150.000 m², Water supply  and Waste water network, Passenger Terminal, Control Tower and 8 technical buildings with a total surface of approx. 34.500 m², delivery and installation of the entire energy supply, communication, meteorological, and landing system with equipment such as: ILS, VOR-DME, NDB, FIDS…


The Employer and Final Beneficiary was the Government of Cameroon, represented by the Presidency of the Republic, the Ministry of Transports and Public works and the Direction of Civil Aviation..
A Consortium of international Construction companies headquartered in Germany was awarded to build the Airport.

Contract value and Results

The project was completed within the time schedule. The results and elaborations were delivered to the client’s satisfaction.
